5 year old Louis Kayes, from Moodiesburn in North Lanarkshire is certainly one of the most dedicated football fans you will ever come across.
Louis, a Celtic Fc fan, called the club’s phone lines to apologise for missing a match which he said clashed with a friend’s birthday party.
The match in question was Celtic’s match with Motherwell in the Scottish Premier League. The boy’s mother, 35-year-old Lisa Kayes, said he had borrowed her phone to make the call. She told the BBC her son had called after a “bit of a guilt trip”.
She said Louis wanted to speak to the club’s manager, Brendan Rodgers, and his favourite player, Celtic captain Scott Brown, to apologise and explain his absence and let them know he had missed the match in case they were looking for him.
Louis has promised not to miss the next match – a champions league game against Borussia Dortmund – and predicted a 3-1 win.
Sadly however his prediction was far off as Celtic lost 0-1 on home ground.
