Gifts don’t always have to cost money to be meaningful.
If you don’t have a lot of money to splurge on Valentine’s day present for your partner, here are a few ideas. This doesn’t mean you should be a cheapskate. However, if you’re genuinely broke and would like to do something special, check these out!
1. Write a poem
You don’t have to be a poet to write a poem, and there are tonnes of love poem examples on the internet. Just write a heartfelt cheesy poem about how you feel, they’d love it!
2. Make a bouquet of flowers
Find a garden near you, pick a few pretty flowers, and make a bouquet.
3. Make a playlist
You can make a playlist of songs that say how you feel about your partner and share it with them. For inspiration, here’s our Valentine’s Day Playlist.
4. Painting or drawing
You don’t have to be super talented to make a cute painting or drawing. You can even scribble a funny cartoon. What matters is the thought.
5. Record yourself singing a cheesy love song
Record yourself singing a cheesy love song and send it to your partner. It would probably make him/her smile a lot.
6. Make a card
Get some cardboard and markers and create a lovely card for your partner.
7. Help them tick something off their to-do list
An act of service is a powerful way to show your love. Help them do something they’ve been meaning to do. Whether it’s cleaning their apartment or laundry.
You can give your partner spa treatment and a massage, or even a manicure!
