Nowadays due to the ever rising improvements in technology, we are always on the lookout for the latest smartphones under certain price ranges offering the best specifications. Today we would love to look at the top 5 powerful smartphones you can get for under $750.

1. Google Pixel 5A $450

Google Pixel 5a components leak, launch 17 August - Pocket-lint

Good phones don’t need to cost upward of $700. Google’s latest Pixel 5A is a prime example of this. It runs really smoothly, handling most games just fine, has a colorful and sharp OLED 6.3-inch screen better than the LCDs you’ll find on most phones this price and has a camera system that trounces phones twice its $450 price.

The cameras are the same as on the Pixel 5 from 2020; there’s a main 12-megapixel sensor and an ultra-wide. With Google’s Night Sight mode, you can get detailed and bright low-light images, and if you put the phone on a tripod and point it at the sky, it can even capture the stars.
Better yet, the phone has a big 4,680mAh battery that lasts almost two full days on a single charge.

There’s no high screen refresh rate, MicroSD card slot, or wireless charging, but you do get a headphone jack, sub-6 5G connectivity, IP67 water resistance, NFC for contactless payments, a rear fingerprint sensor, and three years of OS and security upgrades.

The best part of Pixels is the software. There are tons of genuinely helpful features like Call Screen, which will screen calls from unknown numbers so you don’t have to answer a robo-call and angrily hang up quite so often. You can get the Google Pixel 5 here

2. Samsung Galaxy A71 $521

Samsung Galaxy A71 - Notebookcheck.net External Reviews
When it comes to the Samsung Galaxy A71 design with a price tag of $521, it’s all about the huge, 6.7-inch display. It dominates the front of the handset, but with minimal bezels around the side it fits in the hand better than you’d imagine.

It uses Samsung’s Infinity-O screen technology we’ve seen on previous devices from the firm, and means you get a punch-hole camera design at the top of the display. It sits in the notification bar, which keeps it nicely out of the way, so not to intrude on general usage.

The front-facing camera takes up more space on the A71 than it does on the cheaper Galaxy A51even though they’re the same lens. That’s down to the fact the Galaxy A71 uses a Super AMOLED Plus panel (vs Super AMOLED on the A51) which is thinner and lighter, but the trade-off is the camera cut-out needs to be a little larger.

It’s not an issue, but it’s a shame Samsung couldn’t get the smaller design in here too.

The Galaxy A71 measures 163.6 x 76 x 7.7mm and weighs 179g, which makes it relatively manageable to use. Those with smaller hands will still find it pretty massive though, and stretching your thumb to the top of the screen is a struggle – especially during one-handed use.

One of the big party pieces for the Samsung Galaxy A71 is its cameras. The front-facing, 32MP snapper produces high quality shots, even in the slightly awkward lighting of the Samsung booth, which should satisfy selfie fans.

There’s plenty of power under the hood of the Samsung Galaxy A71, with an octa-core processor and 6GB of RAM (some regions will get 8GB) in the driving seat.
The device comes running Android 10, which felt fluid and fast under-finger, and you also get 128GB of storage to play with which, for many, will be more than enough.

If you do run out of space, the Galaxy A71 also has a microSD slot which supports cards up to 512GB in size.

A closer look at the top left corner of the display will draw your attention to the dual selfie cameras with the first being a 32MP, the second is an 8MP lens which is the wide-angle camera. This is not common among smartphones in Nigeria.

At the back are four standard cameras: 48MP main, 8MPultra wide, 5MP depth, and 2MP macro. They all work together as expected, the cameras are not 100% flagship cameras but they shot pretty decent photos and also record videos.

The OnePlus Nord comes with a non-removable 4115mAh battery, it has a standard Warp Charge 30T fast charging (5V/6A) feature available on the charger. This can help you charge from 0 – 70% in 30 minutes. Get it at a discount here
